Kent-Moore DT-50871 Pinion Seal Installer
The Kent-Moore DT-50871 Pinion Seal Installer is a tool designed to install pinion seals on the 218 mm RDM and output seals on the 195 mm RDM. It is made of steel instead of plastic to provide the necessary force for proper installation. The pinion seal on the 218 mm RDM has sealant applied around its outer diameter, which requires a higher installation force. The larger diameter of the output shaft seal on the 195 mm RDM also requires a stronger installation force.
The DT-50871 was originally developed for the Camaro HP 250 RDM, which has a particularly high installation force.
This tool is compatible with both Alpha RDMs and should be used with the J-22828 InstallerApplications:
